Professional Goals

To use a wide variety of assessment tools in order to gather evidence of student learning and to modify lessons according to understanding (performance assessment tasks, oral questioning, exit slips, etc.).

Strategies:

• I will enhance my skills in administering and collecting assessment data to improve student learning, and later plan interventions when necessary.

• I will learn about strategies in assessments that are engaging and incorporative of unique student needs.

To establish meaningful relationships with my students and parents to develop a better sense of classroom community.

Strategies:

• Incorporating teachers into the classroom community by having opportunities to engage with the class and volunteer either in showcasing their career to students or with field trips.

• Keeping parents up-to-date in the classroom community through classroom newsletter and classroom website.

To incorporate a variety of tech tools to enhance student achievement, and engagement with concepts.

Strategies:

• Incorporate different tools (Blooket, Kahoot, Edpuzzle) for assessment and verifying student learning.

• Utilize gamified tools (Classcraft, Book Creator, Mathletics, Jeopardy Labs) to promote user engagement, help students set goals, and provide challenge suited to each student.
